The nearest mountain is the Mottarone (1491 m) which offers 20 km of ski runs suitable for both beginners and more experienced skiers and a ski school. Slopes for sledges and bob-sleds are available for your children’s amusement.

The Mottarone is not only a renowned ski resort but also a natural attraction where you can admire an enchanting panoramic view and it is the ideal place for relaxing and sunbathing on its sunny slopes.

The ‘Neve Azzurra district’ and Switzerland are situated within easy driving distance from Ameno where you can find many more ski resorts. Most of them offer opportunities for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ice-skating and making excursions on foot in the snow (by night too).
